Balance tests

The human balance system is very complex, composed of interacting systems in our ears, our eyes and our muscles.

You may experience dizziness or vertigo when is one of these controlling systems is out-of-sync with the sensory information provided from the rest of your body. For example, one of the systems in the ears, eyes or muscles might not be functioning properly, or otherwise the brain may not be processing the sensory input properly.

Ear Science Clinic offers comprehensive testing services to assess each individual’s balance functions and capacity.

Various assessments can be undertaken, and your audiologist will clearly explain them to you before starting. Our standard tests include:

  • Hearing Assessments.
  • Eye Movement Studies.
  • Balance (Vestibular) Tests.
  • Bithermal Caloric Testing.
